Goals/Mission: Responsible for technical design of Medium Voltage Substation equipment including Switchgear and associated protection systems.
Tasks: Technical design aspects of delivering projects (up to £3m) from specification to delivery.
Design and production of engineering drawings including schemes and equipment layouts.
Specify and order switchgear by interpreting the customer specification.
Attend technical meetings with the client.
Inspection of switchgear and protection systems.
Procurement of all project specific items.
Provide engineering support to the tendering department.
Ensure engineering consistency by attending engineering design reviews
Education: Degree in Electrical engineering or HNC/HND Electrical Engineering with experience relevant to this role.
Experience: Relevant electrical engineering experience associated with Medium Voltage Substation products and systems including switchgear and protection.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Fully conversant with AutoCAD and Microsoft packages – Word, Excel etc.
