Our Client, part of a major Healthcare Group, designs, develops and produces a range of high quality, leading brand healthcare products for the UK market and exported worldwide. They currently have a vacancy for a Design Engineer within the R&D department at their facility in West Sussex.
Key Responsibilities:
?Design, development, testing and evaluating medical products for stoma care
?Produce product specifications
?DFMEA
?Solving complex problems
?Communication with internal departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers
?Design for manufacture
?Producing detail drawings to BS8888 (BS308) using Solid Works CAD
?Modification of drawings
?Material specification
?Supporting customer presentations
?Working to budgets and schedules
Candidates must be qualified to degree level in either Materials or Mechanical Design with several years experience within a design office environment. Specific experience of detail design, BOM compilation and New Product Design & Introduction is essential, along with knowledge of plastic materials & processes, medical devices and BS8888.
