Job Position:Design Engineering Manager - Electrical
The Role:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Engineer / Engineering Manager with a background of working with the consultant, manufacturers of electrical equipment or design contractors specialised in the areas of HV & EHV equipment.

Experience and Knowledge Essential:
Detailed knowledge and experience in most of the following areas is essential:
Management of multi discipline technical resources in highly competitive transmission and distribution market.
Experienced in successful implementation of engineering projects within High Voltage industry.
Understanding of CDM and all related legislations for work within UK.
Commitment to Zero by Design philosophy.
Ability to innovate designs to achieve cost savings.
Design knowledge of major primary and secondary electrical equipment and understanding of the M&E and Civil aspects of the works.
Sizing calculations for major electrical equipment.
Interfacing and co-ordination with other disciplines.
Familiarisation with international standards.
Computer literacy and familiar with at least project planning tool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of integration of designers and interface to planning supervisors and construction partners.
Ensuring compliance with agreed standards and procedures to manage design and engineering of high voltage projects in order to ensure completion on schedule within budget and in accordance with specification.
Short term travel may be involved in UK and overseas for equipment inspection and assistance with equipment installation and commissioning.
Salary/Rate:£60k + £10k car allowance
