BAA EXPERIENCE IS A MUST as well as 5 - 10 years experience in design
- Taking the lead on the tender stage design process for projects valued from £500k to £15m.
- Understanding of BAA preconstruction and Post construction deliverables and Procedures
- Assessing design details for buildability.
- Ensuring that all design costs associated with the bid process are within agreed budgets.
- Create high quality client proposals including bid submissions, pre-qualifications and approved list applications.
- Ability to create bid proposals and PQQ's including innovations and best practice.
- To project manage the tender stage design process, taking full ownership of meeting all deadlines.
- Liaise with tender bid teams and business development to develop and write winning submissions.
- Presentation to clients as part of the bid presentation team.
- Implement value engineering and innovative solutions.
- Liaise with Health, Safety and Environmental Managers to ensure that designs and submissions comply with relevant requirements such as CDM Regulations and BREEAM.
- Ensure that bid proposals align with BAA requirements and budget.
- Analyzing the construction and procurement programmes in order to schedule the delivery of the consultants' design in a timely fashion.
- Coordination of design information between consultants and sub - contractors to conform with the employers requirements whilst satisfying the allowed cost and target construction programmes.
- Seeking to exploit any opportunity to maximize the projects commercial gain through design development, value engineering and variations to the agreed contract scope.
