This large construction firm in Erith specialises in Plastering, Dry lining, External envelope metal framing, Terracotta cladding, Trespa paneling, Aluminium cladding, Insulated render systems, Aluminium flashings and copings, Windows, Traditional render,Through-colour renders,Gyvlon and supaflo screeds,Suspended ceilings, Artex Mezzanine structure flooring, Timber Cladding, Zinc Cladding and Copper Cladding.
They are currently developing the cladding/ facade side of the business, and are seeking a design technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will come from a background of working with a manufacturer of cladding systems or a curtain wall designer or fabrication firm. The structural calculations themselves will be outsourced.
Ideally you will have at some years experience in Draughting.
Strong background and work experience in Construction. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good level of Education (probably to degree level) .A high level of numeracy including trigonometry, algebra and mechanics.
A high level of reasoning ability Pro-active and flexible approach to work Ability to work under own initative
Excellent computer skills and proficient in CAD and CAD solutions, excel, word, outlook, and access.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written UK English
Experience in internal drylining, screeding, suspended ceilings, lightweight steel framing, insulated render systems, render systems, rainscreen cladding systems and curtain walling, windows & doors and other miscellaneous trades A comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, their properties and uses
A good knowledge of appropriate regulations and Health & Safety legislation
