We seek a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer who has approximately 5 years or more experience of precision mechanical design or project engineering - experience of solenoid valve technology or design for aerospace/space applications would be particularly relevant. Experience of Pro-Engineer CAD tools would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for designing and developing new mechanical actuation devices and systems from concept through to precision manufacturing for operational space flight.
You should be comfortable in dealing directly with customer design teams and have the ability to think on your feet and solve situations as they arise. You should also be willing to undertake short-term travel as required.
