A fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to take ownership of delivering installation, configuration, support and upgrades of internal infrastructure, desktop and systems for the corporate user base in the capacity of Senior IS Engineer.
Woking for this highly respected brand as part of the Internal Systems team, the position is offered on a permanent basis with a basic salary of circa £25,000 plus Bonus, Pension and extra corporate benefits.
Reporting to the Desktop Support Manager and based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, SW England, the IT Support Analyst role is accountable for the resolution of all end user requests and support issues relating to the corporate desktop infrastructure.

The Senior IT Support Analyst will act as the main point of contact for all internal users, providing reactive and proactive support for any incidents or faults on Microsoft Windows XP / Vista, Server 2003 / 2008, Active Directory, TCP/IP and some VoIP issues as well as carrying out root-cause analysis to provide a detailed technical analysis with accompanying fix\work-around for re-occurring problems. Working to strict internal SLAs you will ensure the availability of all systems, at all times, ensuring that appropriate back-up and disaster recovery processes are completed as designated to ensure business continuity.
The Desktop Support Analyst will carry out project work in conjunction with other support teams and help design and implement new strategies for the improvement of the desktop and IS environment.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a corporate desktop support environment supporting 100+ users both remotely and on-site. You will have in-depth knowledge of Windows XP / Vista / 08 O/S and some knowledge of Windows Server 2003 / 2008. Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Active Directory is also essential.
Any candidates with exposure to supporting IPT / VoIP systems including Cisco Unity or CallManager are highly desirable. Additional knowledge of Oracle Forms and VMware ESX and View platforms would be beneficial.
Candidates with MCP or MCSE or other Microsoft Windows certifications are highly desirable.
