Due to recent success and expansion plans across the business our client requires a skilled development geophysicist.
The role will offer you many challenges in a highly active, multi-disciplinary team where you will have significant opportunities to use all of your skills and undertake a variety of project assignments depending on your experiences.
You will join the UK asset team where you will use your technical capabilities and experience to help reach business objectives, thereby contributing to the company's growing reputation as a quality operator and an effective partner in their large licence holdings.
You will have experience in the following areas:
*At least 6 years experience
*Interpretation experience with 2D and particularly 3D seismic
*Some exposure to the challenges of 4D seismic application would be ideal
*Quantitative techniques, their use and limitations (AVO etc.) Note: Net Pay estimation from seismic via amplitude techniques is common place within the portfolio.
*Well / Seismic ties and depth conversion techniques
*Volume and risk evaluation
*Seismic acquisition planning
*Strong working knowledge of seismic processing and re-processing techniques
*Well planning
*A good knowledge of rock physics.
*Strong interpretational skills (experience of PETREL seismic would be a genuine advantage)
