Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and analytical degree qualified Electronics Engineer to join a small engineering team. With agood Honours Degree, you will be interested in pursuing a career in the technical aspects of power conditioning, motordrives andcontrols, rotating machinery and air moving products covering a power range from approximately 10 W to 1 kW. You will be engaged in all disciplines relating to the development of new products and systems, supporting electromechanical design activities, hands-on testing, reporting and customer liaison.
Hours of work 7.30 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday 7.30 - 12.45 Friday (half hour for lunch Mon - Thurs).
You should be a strong team player, have an emphasis on detail design for manufacture, a 'hands-on' approach to progressing designs and an ambition to excel in the following areas:
·Embedded microcontrollers and associated firmware
·Power semiconductors and related drive components
·Switch mode and power circuit design
·Electronic simulation methods
·Measurement techniques in a power conversion and development environment
·Analogue and digital circuit design
·Sensors, transducers and their interfacing to laboratory instrumentation
·CAD for electronic and mechanical documentation
·EMC and LVD legislationdesign considerations in the product development cycle
Capable of operating within a dynamic team working environment, your bright and flexible approach will require good written and oral communication skills, professional responsibility for your own contributions and clear presentation of engineered solutionssince you will be contributing to major development projects and liaising with Third Party Agencies to gain product approvalsfrom the outset.
