Our client is a leading online and offline Poker brand with over 25 million players worldwide. They have built an exceptional reputation within the industry and pride themselves on their reputation within the celebrity player market.
A new division has been created to be headed up by the Director of PR & VIP to manage celebrity players and their PR. This position will have 2 clear reporting sectors with a total of 5 direct reports and will be responsible for handling relations with over 20 PR agencies as well as managing 50+ celebrities (predominantly poker but also from sport and beyond). The role therefore has dual focus.
Developing strategy for celebrity management, managing relationships, contract negotiations , managing celebrities, managing multimillion dollar budgets and reviewing constantly how Celebrity management is utilized or promoted ;
In addition you will be responsible for developing and evolving the consumer PR strategy, including building brand awareness, reinforcing brand values and overcoming misconceptions surrounding online poker. You will also be responsible for global tournament pR and managing trade press and key consumer relationships.
To be considered as a serious applicant you must have a proven track record in celebrity player management as well as extensive experience in consumer focused PR. You will also have had experience working with local marketing teams across pan regional basis as well as working with a mixture of marketing teams (Advertising, CRM). Experience of working within the Poker industry OR
the ability to demonstrate a real passion for the industry is essential.
