Proactive Personnel are proud to be representing this market leading recycling business in their search for an ‘ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER’.
This position will be based at our client’s prestigious processing facility within the North West area within easy commuting distance of the major cities.
THE ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
Responsibility as a team member, for the successful implementation of planned preventative & predictive maintenance strategies
Support Maintenance Manager in achieving Business KPI's & Maintenance Scheduling
Completion of Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Plans (Utilising CMMS)
Reactive response to equipment faults & breakdowns
Effective fault finding & repair of Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems Maintenance Reporting on the Computerised Maintenance Management System
Implementation of Minor Continuous Improvement Projects (to improve equipment reliability & efficiency)
Active involvement in:
The day to day operation of all Processing Plant & Building Services (S-H-E)
Maintenance strategy review meetings
Continuous improvement meetings
Coordination of Sub-Contractor activities
Providing high quality feedback to the Operations & Maintenance Teams
Housekeeping of all work areas & Maintenance Work Shop
Provide flexibility to support the business needs
THE SUCCESSFUL ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
- We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking & self disciplined individual with strong electrical / instrumentation skills & experience.
Essential:
- Recognised Electrical / Instrumentation Trade Apprenticeship
- Recognised Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Qualification(s)
- C&G 2381 (16th / 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations)
- 5 Years Experience in the Processing / FMCG Industry
- Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Software Applications
- Electrical Distribution Systems (LV & HV)
- Electrical & Instrumentation System Maintenance (Preventative / Predictive)
- Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
- Process Automation Instrumentation (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Weigh Applications Etc)
- SCADA / PLC Systems (Siemens S7 Desirable)
- Industrial Network Systems (Profibus / Ethernet / Optical Fibre etc)
- Safety Control Systems
- Excellent problem solving & fault finding capabilities
- PC & IT Literate
Desirable:
- Experience of Operating High Voltage Switchgear (11kV)
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing Techniques (TPM, 5's)
- Experience with Combined Heat & Power Plant Operations
- Commissioning experience
- Mobile Elevated Working Platform Licence
- Fork Lift Truck Licence
- Experience of Hazardous Area Plant & Equipment
- Basic Mechanical Engineering Skills
- Manual Handling, Lifting & Slinging
- Confined Space Training
In return for your skills and experience:
