Proactive Personnel are proud to be representing this market leading recycling business in their search for an ENGINEERING MANAGER.
This position will be based at our client’s prestigious processing facility within the North West area within easy commuting distance of the major cities.
THE ENGINEERING MANAGER (PROCESS)
- Ensure Monthly Maintenance plans and budget targets are met
- Ensure all Maintenance data required to be monitored/recorded is undertaken in an effective/efficient manner in accordance with all contractual and Maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all downtime data required to be monitored/recorded is undertaken
- in an effective/efficient manner in accordance with all contractual and maintenance requirements
- Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained as a minimum, in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations
- Ensure that Maintenance Targets are communicated to all Maintenance Staff
- Ensure all company procedures are adhered to
- Ensure all Maintenance work meets Quality/Cost requirements
- Carry out administration duties as required
- Attend site meetings with clients as required
- Co-ordinate specific Continuous Improvement projects
- Assist Production Manager and in performing his/her duties.
- Implementation and Monitoring of preventive and predictive maintenance scheduled programs using selected maintenance management software
- Control of Maintenance Sub- contractors on site
- Responsible for the health and safety of self and others in the maintenance function through education, training and demonstration of the right behaviours and culture.
- Review maintenance performance reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
THE SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERING MANAGER (PROCESS)
We are seeking candidates with:
- Experience in the development of both preventative and lifecycle Maintenance regimes for a processing plant.
- Ability to establish a culture that focuses on delivering high levels of plant performance through the implementation of preventative and condition based maintenance strategies
- Proven track record in facility commissioning and ramp-up maintenance support services.
- Proven ability to manage overall facility maintenance responsibilities (building, grounds, services, mobile and static equipment etc….)
- Experience in preparing and implementing both preventative and lifecycle maintenance plans.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage suitably qualified maintenance teams to ensure the plants achieve and sustain targeted plant availabilities and at all times promoting a safety aware culture
- Knowledge of a recognised Maintenance Management software system.
- Understand and establish critical performance measures and ensure these are achieved
- Knowledge of spares and inventory management systems to support the maintenance strategy
- Establish requirements for regular, critical and consumable spares required for operations
- Promote key corporate values and objectives
- Communicate openly and honestly at all times
- Provide direction to the Maintenance Team to ensure all performance targets, Health and safety and Business outcomes are achieved.
- Effectively manage capital works/optimisation programs
- Demonstrated ability to administer sub-contractor workforces
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- + 5 years Plant Process Maintenance experience
- Recognised Maintenance Engineering qualifications
- Start up experience
- Writing and setting procedures
- Process Environment
- Experience in implementing both preventative and lifecycle maintenance plans
- Experience in managing extensive maintenance teams andworkshops, stores
- Electrical engineering bias
