My client is seeking a European Road Freight Broker.
Bonus on top up to £1.5k per month - several guys earn around £1k most months on top of basic
Languages a distinct advantage
Clear knowledge and contact for Road freight customers.
The need some ability to sell over the phone or by occasional visits if larger clients.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The job requirement is for an Account manager to broker European road transport business by finding consignors with work to move and hauliers with capacity and then by taking a margin between the buy and sell price. The role will include developing existing client contacts, finding and developing new contacts and maintaining good relationships through high service levels.
KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
1.Forwarding / Broking
a.Contacting existing clients (Customer and Carriers) and transacting business on the system in the required process
b.Growing existing client work by understanding client needs
2.Finding and developing new contacts as business partners from enquiry to order placement including set-up and training them on the exchange.
3.Quoting customers for work based on knowledge of industry costs.
4.Managing service levels for your clients by organising collections and delivery to meet their requirements and solving problems in an effective way.
5.Being Service driven and client focused as part of the Brokerage team.
6.Maximising margin and through Industry knowledge and negotiating skills
7.Provide input into Development groups within the business
8.Using the Web based system and processes in an efficient and effective way.
9.Carry out any reasonable request from Management.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years in transport - Wide experience and knowledge of Transport and/or Forwarding ideal.
Good indications of intellect (5 GSCEs or better including maths) with the ability to calculate margins etc.
Language capability is a strong benefit for European operators.
Good Phone and negotiating skills an advantage.
