This multidisciplinary consultancy currently have an opportunity for an experienced ecologist with strong ornithology skills to join their team based in Glasgow.
Working within the environmental team you will work on large scale development led projects for clients in the renewable and power industries, undertaking ecological surveys and EcIA projects, collaborating with other professionals to contribute to EIA and Environmental Assessment reports.
* Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant degree (Ecology / Zoology / Biology), MSc advantageous, full membership of IEEM is anticipated and a full clean driving licence is a requirement of the role due to the travel involved. Candidates also holding protected species licences/ Schedule 1 bird licences will be at an advantage. * Location- Glasgow, to work across Scotland and the North of England * Experience- Candidates are anticipated to hold previous ecology consultancy experience with a demonstrable strong knowledge of ornithological assessments and consultancy, those with previous experience of undertaking project work in relation to on shore wind farm developments and monitoring will be at an advantage.

Duties Include: - Planning and undertaking ornithology and ecology surveys - Report writing - Project management - Liaising with Clients - Liaising with Stakeholders and public bodies, attending meetings - Liaising with internal professionals form other environmental and engineering disciplines

Working on high profile development led projects in the Renewable energy and Power related markets, including on shore wind farm developments, biomass and CHP developments, Oil and gas pipelines.
