Our client based in Kent is currently looking for an Editor to join the team, the company who specialise in medical communications are now 25 strong with over 10 years experience. They are a fast growing and progressive organisation looking for someone to perform the following tasks
As a member of the Editorial Services Team (EST), the Ed’s primary role is to carry out a variety of quality control (QC)/editing/proofing tasks to a very high standard
The Ed’s responsibilities also include project management, financial awareness and liaison with external customers
To champion editorial processes and be a good source of information on these processes for other colleagues
To assist the Editorial Services Manager (ESM) and other senior members of the EST in training junior members of the team To develop in the role and demonstrate the necessary aptitude and experience to achieve promotion to Senior Editor
Excellence in standards of QC and editing
Good understanding of core editorial team processes (eg working with journals, copyright etc)
Effective at working with other team members and external contacts
Effective management of workload and prioritisation
Effective at assisting in training of junior members of the EST/co-presenting/developing in-house training sessions
Must have agency background of around 2 years plus
