Electrical / Electronics Engineer
Regional office based in Leeds
£23,000 – £41,000 + Bonus + Package + Relocation
Our client is a well-established and respected multidisciplinary team of Scientists and Engineers who have a vacancy for a trainee Investigator. The role is for an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to investigate the cause of a wide range of fires and electrical/electronic engineering failures. You will join their well-established forensic fire and engineering investigation teams, based at their regional office in Leeds.
Full training and development will be provided to ensure that you are successful; this is an excellent route into a rewarding and
fulfilling career. You will ideally require a relevant degree in either Electrical/Electronic Engineering or possibly another Engineering discipline. Sound academic qualifications from school and university are required in addition to several years postgraduate industrial work experience. Good academic/university qualifications and post graduate experience are both pre-requisites. An MSc or PhD qualification may be useful, but is not essential.
Applicants must have:
• At least a good engineering degree
• Experience in a working environment, a minimum of two years ideally
• Hold, or be working towards, professional status. Membership of a Chartered Institute preferred but not essential
Successful applicants will be:
• Self-motivated and good at personal time management
• Have Project Management skills and abilities
• Enjoy flexibility in their work and be prepared to travel
• Expected to demonstrate problem solving skills and analytical thinking
• Able to think both laterally and ‘on their feet’
• Capable of demonstrating good oral and written skills
• Prepared to give evidence in Court (training provided)
Remuneration
Our client offers a good basic salary with scope for excellent bonuses (c20%). Benefits include car allowance, non-contributory pension scheme, life assurance and medical health insurance and relocation assistance where required.
