Joining the Design Standards and Assurance Team within the Asset Management division, the Electrical Design Engineer will contribute towards the development of electrical design standards, production of protection settings and design philosophies, support assurance processes and contribute towards the objectives of the team.
You will develop electrical design standards for distribution, primary and grid substations up to 33kV or 132kV for use throughout the networks along with reviewing and checking all electrical designs of the team, producing protection settings for networks ranging from 11kV to 132kV and completing protection studies up to 33kV or 132kV and fault protection analysis.
To be considered you will need to have a HNC in Electrical Engineering, Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status and a strong electrical engineering background with knowledge of protection designs up to 33kV and 132kV.
You will also need to have a good understanding of the CDM Regulations and knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 procedures.
