As a result of growing global success and increasing demand for our excavator product, we are seeking an Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineer to join our mini and midi excavator engineering research and development team on the delivery of a wide range of exciting and challenging machine development programmes.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager at the Compact Products division in Staffordshire, you will be working on a range of technical development projects which are targeted to ensure that machines are the most technically advanced and competent on the market.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Ownership of machine electrical and electronic systems through the product lifecycle
• Working with the engineering team, suppliers and marketing on the development and delivery of technical briefs
• Design and development of 12 and 24 Volt vehicle Electrical systems and components
• Specification, development and integration of electronic and software control solutions
• Testing and validation of machine electrical and electronic systems
Successful candidates will be:
• Educated to a minimum HND level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Able to demonstrate significant experience in automotive electrical electronic hardware and real time embedded systems integration and design
• Able to understand and contribute to the development of CAN bus networks and vehicle harness architecture
In addition to the above, a working knowledge of MISRA guidelines and experience with agricultural, commercial or off road vehicles would be desirable.
