Electronic Field Service Engineer (Car Parking Systems / Ticketing Equipment)
£19,000 - £22,000 + Car + Benefits. The OTE is £24,000.
Location: Scotland - Edinburgh and surrounding areas
My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ticketing and payment equipment which is used in car parking facilities for Local Authorities, airports, conference centres, hotels and shopping centres. This well respected organisation has been supplying this marketplace for decades, establishing and nurturing long term relationships with a customer base at the forefront of technology.
Following expansion they seek to recruit a customer focused and highly motivated Electronic Field Service Engineer, responsible for developing customer relationships and servicing and maintaining a range of high value, PC-controlled capital equipment. The role will involve carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance and breakdown fault-finding and repair on a range of electronic and electro-mechanical systems utilised in ticketing and payment machines.
Ideally you will be located in Scotland - applicants living in or the around the following areas are invited to apply: Edinburgh, Fife, Clackmannanshire, Perthshire, Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Stirlingshire or Lanarkshire.
To apply you should have experience in a field service or technical support role, working on electronics, electro-mechanical or PC-controlled capital equipment. Ideally you will have a technical qualification, such as City & Guilds 224, HNC or HND in Electronic / Electrical Engineering.
You should have strong board level electronics fault finding and service skills and good PC hardware knowledge. Any experience of repairing car parking or ticketing or fare automation systems would be beneficial.
Alternatively you may have worked on a wide range of capital equipment including: ATM, gaming, vending, office equipment or PCs. Any exposure to coin-operated mechanisms, note validators, ticketing machines, payment machines, automatic barriers or gates would also be beneficial. Applications are also welcomed from individuals from ex-forces backgrounds.
