Based in the Midlands, the Electronics Development Technician will be employed by a leading manufacturer and supplier of Electronics to worldwide customers. Working closely with in-house design / production and test teams, the Electronics Development Technician will be responsible for the following: Design of Test equipment hardware, servicing test equipment, wiring harnesses and connectors, assembly of prototype PCBs, SMD and responding to breakdowns of test equipment on the production line.

This position will be suited to someone who is self motivated, a team player and wants to progress into design or production engineering positions. The ideal candidate will have a general interest in Electronics, good soldering skills and a logical approach to fault-finding of electronic circuits. Knowledge of electronic design (Analog / Digital), Visual Basic and PCB layout would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
