Engineering Manager vacancy reporting to Director level. Candidates can be experienced managers or experienced SDK / support engineers looking to progress their careers. Skills sought: Embedded Development, C, Assembler, RTOS, Multi-processors, est, Debug, SDK, Software Design Kit, Support.
This is a new role with my client, a growing and formidable client in the South West. After continued success they now are entering a new phase in their development and are adding to their organisation with a new SDK support team.
This will be the first hire in that team and is expected that the successful candidate will, whilst being hands on, grow and lead the team.
Candidate profile:
- Strong academics: 1st, 2i, PhD, etc
- Deep technical knowledge of software and processor systems.
- Strong problem solving/debugging skills.
- Prior experience of software development using C/assembly language in an embedded system context
- Embedded RTOS based multi-threaded/multi-core environments
- Software analysis and debugging techniques
- A strong desire to demonstrate and encourage "best-practice" software engineering processes.
- Authoring of examples, application notes and tutorials.
- Wireless systems development and testing.
- Excellent communication and reasoning skills.
- Ability to co-ordinate and prioritize problem solving activities in a multi-disciplinary environment.
