Lloydspharmacy is seeking an experienced ER Adviser to work in our centre of excellence in Coventry. This is a great opportunity for a professional and experienced ER Adviser to join the UK’s largest independent community pharmacy chain.Our estate has in excess of 1,700 pharmacies across the UK, based predominantly in community and health centre locations. To give you some idea of the size, we employ over 16,000 staff and dispense over 100 million prescription items annually.

The role
In order to achieve our vision we need to ensure we provide 1st class ER support to our pharmacy network. Based in our Head Office function at Sapphire Court, you will work alongside a team of 2 ER advisers lead by our highly experienced and professional ER and Policy Manager. You will provide telephone support to our 17, 00 branches across the UK regarding a wide variety of ER issues. The majority of the workload is generated via our ER helpline and some work is generated via our HRSSC and also Sapphire Court. There will be the opportunity to become involved with specific project work for reviewing policy and process.
Although the majority of the work is reactive to our customers, we do expect a proactive approach to recognising opportunity for improvements with our processes. You will also be responsible for producing management information reports to the business and using these to highlight trends and recommend solutions.
The person
The successful ER Adviser will be a graduate with a good generalist HR experience and a solid background in ER. With experience of working within a multi-site service industry you will be a driven individual used to working to tight deadlines. We would look for specific experience in the following:
- Coaching line managers in ER issues to empower and motivate
- Dealing with a varied and challenging workload
- Case management through to and including Employment Tribunal application
- Have a strong understanding of current legislation and the impact this has on employee relations
- Ownership of your own professional development regarding up to date legislation
- Managing long term absence and supporting managers in this process
- Strong administration and IT skills specifically in MS applications
