This is a highly visible & rewarding role which will liaise directly with the HRD & executive committee on a regular basis. The ideal person will be seen as the potential successor to the Head of ER & so will be an ambitious, resilient & energetic ER specialist.
Key Duties:
Provision of complex employee relations and legal advice across legal entities and jurisdictions eg individual & collective disputes, exit arrangements, restrictive covenants, employment and contract matters
Provision of specialist technical advice on creating, managing and executing complex restructures, acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals, reviewing and advising on complex due diligence etc.
Engaging and managing the relationship with employee representative bodies for the division.
Driving advanced HR capability in areas such as business change and knowledge of employment policies and legislations Experience Required:
* Relationship management of multiple stakeholders operating at executive and senior management level in a complex corporate environment
* Experience of working in a number of different strategic HR roles within large global organisations
* Evidence of high performance
* Programme management and delivery especially leading strategic business change
* Broad technical understanding of employment policy and legislation across the different jurisdictions, ideally gained working in an 'in-house' environment
* Strong understanding of ER issues
* Significant HR experience within a global organisation
* Experience of transformational business change including acquisitions, setting up JVs, TUPE transfers etc
* Employee relations experience within a unionised environment across several geographies
* A working understanding of international employment law and best practices
* Knowledge of world class policies and best practice
* Experience of developing the HR and business relationships to drive business performance and understanding
Happy to look at Employment Lawyers, who have worked closely with & ideally on site with international, matrix corporations, as well as in house ER specialists. Ideally financial services experience otherwise a large multinational with many jurisdictions.
