Reporting to the Head of ER you will be assigned to a geographical region and will be expected to support store managers within this region to deliver upon and manage all ER related issues. You will be responsible for one of the following regions:
* London and the South East * Midlands * North West

Employee Relations (ER) Specialist - Retail - Job Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished, confident and assertive ER specialist with an extensive and current knowledge of UK Employment law combined with a clear understanding of the complexities and sensitivities of Employee Relations issues. You will be expected to provide realistic and pragmatic solutions to allow the effective and efficient resolution of all ER issues across the Retail network.
The overall objective of this role is to empower the managers to handle all ER cases and to guide them through the necessary processes that need to be adhered to in order to deal with any ER issues. Consequently you will need to have the ability to coach and influence line managers on the application of employment policies including poor performance, conduct and attendance as well as providing an impartial advisory service for all disciplinary and grievance cases.

Employee Relations (ER) Specialist - Retail - Key Skills
* Demonstrate an excellent technical knowledge of Employment law and the complexities of Employee Relations * Previous experience of handling a volume of Employee Relations cases at any one time within a matrixed environment * CIPD or other relevant qualifications are highly desirable * Experience of the full Employee Relations life-cycle from development of personal improvement plans to grievance and disciplinary procedures * Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to coach and influence Line Managers * Passion and drive to provide an outstanding Employee Relation service
