A local Authority is currently recruiting for a energy Technician to monitor and report on energy and water consumption and costs, provide advice on energy matters and day-to-day management of energy contracts. Identify cost and consumption savings.
This will include
- Collecting energy data from around the Council and from energy suppliers.
- Input data into the TEAM energy database manually and from data files. Maintain the database as required.
- Analyse energy and water consumption and cost data and interpret the results for clients and energy engineers using TEAM analysis and statistical methods in Excel.
- Liaise with clients on their energy monitoring needs and design reports for their use.
- Produce data for energy supply tenders and assist in evaluating tenders.
A successful applicant must have previous experience in working with energy software and energy billing, and data handling and use of statistics, graphs and tables.
You must be Numerate, have the ability to gather evidence and solve problems. Also to accurately interpret, monitor and report on data using graphs, tables, text etc as appropriate.
Also have good technical knowledge of energy use and billing.
