With over 70 years of experience our client is going from strength to strength and is currently experiencing immense growth through the acquirement of new contracts with their turnover high in the millions. The company is also looking to invest heavily in the improvement of the factory by purchasing new machinery to extend the existing automated lines. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with longevity, who have an excellent company ethos and who are defying the current economic trend.

The Role of an Engineering Manager:

Due to this expansion a role has arisen for an Engineering Manager within this privately owned business. The role would entail the successful applicant to oversee the team of engineers on site and to be at the forefront of continuous improvement for the business. This would involve the undertaking of new projects and implementing KPI’s. As this is a demanding role you would really need to hit the ground running where you would be pioneering new processes and drawing up planned and preventative maintenance schedules for the engineers. This role would provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to really make a difference to a company and to get stuck in and make the role their own.

Key Skills:

The successful candidate would have an understanding of electrical and mechanical principles within a food or similar manufacturing discipline as this is essential for the role. Exposure to lean manufacturing techniques such as Kaizen and Six Sigma is advantageous. In terms of personal attributes you would be highly self motivated, have a flexible approach to working hours, have good leadership skills and most importantly be driven to achieve results.

Benefits: up to£45,000 basic + BUPA + 25 days holiday + various other benefits
