An excellent Engineering Manager is required by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care based within the European Vision Centre in Sunbury.
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care are looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop the engineering function. Reporting directly to the Group Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensure overall Business Objectives are achieved through effective management, resourcing and development of the Engineering Team
- through coaching, training and development plans.
- Provide safe and efficient Facilities and equipment within the European Distribution Centres through proactive technical management and leadership.
- Ensure that daily operations, equipment and facilities are fully supported by the Engineering team in order to provide cost effective customer satisfaction through the leverage of processes, equipment and systems.
- Ensure support of growth of the business through productivity improvement and optimisation of equipment and technology to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Responsible for delivering multiple highly integrated and complex projects successfully against challenging deadlines
- Being an integral part of the Engineering team within Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, and providing vision and leadership to your group.
- Leading the implementation of the Safety Program ensuring site adherence
- Leading the site security program and assuming the position of Incident Officer on site
- Ensure the summonsing of appropriate emergency response resources from both Statutory Emergency Services & Contracted Private Security Service Providers, as deemed appropriate.
As an experienced Engineering Manager from a Healthcare / FMCG background, you will be Ideally educated to degree/masters level in a relevant engineering discipline. You will be able to demonstrate your technical/professional experience, alongside strong people management experience with the ability to lead and implement innovative changes with the engagement of all business partners in the process.
You must have a proven working experience in an multi-disciplined engineering environment with knowledge of project management, construction and installation. The ability to apply a scientific approach to problem solving, blending analytical and experimental skills to maximize productivity and yields is an essential requirement. You must have a proven track record in delivering business results that meet and exceed expectations. Having excellent Leadership skills are an essential part of the role along with excellent organisational skills.
