AgustaWestland is a world leader in helicopter manufacture, with bases in over 80 countries.Primary operations are in the UK (Farnborough, and Yeovil, Somerset); the USA, Italy and Poland.We design, develop and manufacture an unrivalled range of the most advanced helicopters & rotary wing technology, for both civil and military customers.
Graduates will be based primarily out of our Yeovil manufacturing HQ in Somerset; but wide opportunities for secondments and international travel exist.
Each year, we seek a number of talented Engineering graduates to join our highly regarded placement programmes, which provide students with the opportunity to experience a vast variety of engineering departments through a series of placements tailored to meet individual interests and areas of study.
The two-year post-graduate placement programme provides a personalised placement plan to prepare you for a permanent role within the Engineering function, covering key objectives relating to specific, individual and business goals.
The programme is broken down into four 6-month structured placements, covering areas of Engineering relevant to your development.Uniquely, graduates have the opportunity to tailor their programme and benefit from mentoring from a senior engineering manager, to aid career progression.
Placements could fall under the following areas:

•Electrical Design
•Simulation & Technology
•Vehicle Systems
•Aerodynamics
•Structural Engineering
•Material Testing
•Rotor Systems
•Rotor Blade Design
•Math Modelling
•Flight Test Engineering
•Mechanical Engineering
•ManufacturingEngineering - Production
Professional Development is encouraged and Graduates will be supported to achieve Chartership or Professional Qualification with the relevant professional institution through our accredited Developing Engineers programme. (IET, IMechE & RAeS accredited.)
Graduates also benefit from a number of other training and development opportunities, including our Personal Development programme ‘Leading Edge’.
Furthermore, an established support network and mentoring scheme will ensure effective development, whilst a thriving social network of over 200 trainees will help with the integration process.
Our location in Yeovil benefits from beautiful countryside surroundings and is only 30 minutes from the world-renowned Heritage Coast, yet we are well connected to Bristol, Bath, Exeter and London.
With over 200 trainees at AgustaWestland, from apprentices to graduates, a thriving social network exists with social events being organised on a weekly basis to integrate newcomers and build long-lasting friendships.

Entry Requirements :
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering subject
• An aptitude for Aerospace, Mechanical, Avionic, Electrical, Aeronautical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Tenacity, fresh thinking and enthusiasm
