Due to a consistent increase in workload our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise in energy, sustainability, infrastructure, landscape design, mining and waste working closely with clients in both public and private sectors have a requirement for a junior Environmental Consultant with a background ideally in acoustics and/or air quality.
Salary: £17-22K dependent on experience
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Environmental Science or a relevant subject area
Experience
Preferably a background in Air Quality/Acoustics
Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and to work independently to deadlines.
Good communication skills
Commercially aware and team player
Advanced communication skills
A keen interest in Acoustics/Air Quality
Preferably experience using modelling packages
Duties
Measurement surveys and reporting
Atmospheric dispersion modeling (ADMS Roads, Breeze packages)
Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
Liaising with consultants, engineers and architects
Writing high quality reports
Preparation of inputs for Environmental Statements
Excel based data manipulation
Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment
Undertaking noise assessment site visits all over the UK
Projects
Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects within the divisions of transportation, construction, manufacturing, nuclear development, residential, waste disposal, gas/energy.
