Environmental Consultant (Hydrologist)
Worcestershire
An excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy with an office in the heart of Worcestershire. You will work alongside a friendly team of environmental specialists, providing clients with a first rate service. Clients include The National Trust and the RSPB so you will be working on sites of historic interest and natural beauty.
Qualifications: You will need to have a degree in a relevant discipline such as Geography or Environmental Science. This will ideally be followed by an MSc in a water related discipline (e.g. Water Management or Hydrology). A full valid driving licence is an essential requirement for this position
Experience: You will need proven post graduate consultancy experience, particularly in relation to flood risk assessments and modeling software (e.g. Hecras, Isis, Tuflow)
Salary: Negotiable and commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hydrological and hydraulic modeling
Database design and 3D visualization
Starting and maintaining environmental management systems
Providing technical support to senior consultants on a range of water management projects
Use of GIS software
Manipulation of air photographs and digital elevation models
Client liaison
Production of factual reports
Regular site visits
