Our Client, a thriving environmental consultancy with continuing growth in the field of Air Quality monitoring have an urgent requirement for a MCERTS Level 2 certified Environmental consultant to lead and manage a team of specialists in the Stack Emissions industry.
Salary: £27-35K + Benefits
Qualifications:
Graduate or HNC qualified in Mechanical, Combustion, Environmental or Thermodynamics engineering with additional apprenticeship training.
MCERTS Level 2
Experience
Considerable experience of working in the fields of Power plant performance testing, Environmental testing and Power plant instrumentation and measurement systems.
Computer literate with familiarity of Microsoft and other engineering application packages
Strong team working, interpersonal, written and oral skills
ECITB safety passport holder and or commensurate site experience
Clean driving license
Physically fit with an aptitude for the practical aspects of this investigational work.
Duties
Control of plant performance testing
Interface with customers (new and existing) for the following:
Tendering/preparation of quotations
Conduct of agreed work packages
Technical advice
Maintenance of safety standards
Training of junior staff
Maintenance of QA procedures
Maintenance of LPS test equipment
Planning of resources
Supervise teams of skilled engineers and technicians
Control of expenditure and purchasing
Development of new work areas and procedures
Organise, supervise and report to clients on the results and implications of plant performance and environmental testing.
Projects
environmental testing and/or instrumentation projects/contracts at power station sites throughout the UK.
