- Compliance with Environmental legislation
- Implementation of EMS (accredited to ISO14001) and specific contract requirements
- Promote positive environmental impacts
- Deputise for Head of Environment (when appropriate)
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
- Advise sites and the Project Management team on environmental matters
- Deliver training to managers, site operatives and others where appropriate
- Monitor the environmental progress of sites
- Maintain the zero prosecution record
- Ensure compliance with waste legislation
- Ensure that ecological requirements are met
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors, from the initial approval process onwards
- Deliver environmental improvements and ensure targets are met
- Report as appropriate to the Project Management Team, JV partners and Skanska Management
- Carry out environmental audits (if required) on other Skanska projects and suppliers and subcontractors
- Deputise for the Head of Environment on environmental issues (when appropriate)
- Adherence to Skanska policies and procedures

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
- Degree level in appropriate Environmental discipline
- Full Driving licence
- Basic IT skills
- Relevant CSCS Card
