This role will require a candidate who has gained sales experience covering the MIDLANDS territory promoting EUROPEAN ROAD FREIGHT. Having increased the services available to their clients, now also offering multi modal FREIGHT FORWARDING, the responsibilities of the Commercial Manager will be to gain new business, retain existing accounts and maximize profitability.
This split role will involve time on the road as well as in the office – generating new sales, attending sales visits, preparing and presenting quotations and closing the sale, as well as handling European Roadfreight Import and Export operations. Assisting the team, taking bookings and arranging collections and deliveries, etc.
The successful candidate is required to have a hands on approach and a flexible nature, with a natural flair for sales and good business acumen.
Knowledge of FREIGHT FORWRADING, EUROPEAN ROAD FREIGHT for both GROUPAGE and FULL LOAD FREIGHT is essential for this position as is a proven track record of sales within the Midlands.
