European Sales and Channel Director
Western Europe (Belgium, France, Germany or United Kingdom)
Basic to £36,000 OTE c£70,000 - £80,000 including Sales Commission & Channel Bonus + Private Health Cover, Pension, Death in Service Benefit
This is a key and challenging role within a worldwide direct and targeted marketing company, providing direct marketing services to a wide range of local, regional, national and international consumer and business-to-business marketers. Reporting to the European Managing Director you will be tasked to identify, win, retain and nurture opportunities with clients throughout Europe. Your ability to win new customers as well as nurturing the existing ones will provide you with the ideal opportunity to progress within their European organisation.
Responsibilities include:
Sell and promote a range of specialist database marketing products and services to current and prospective clients.
Win new customers as well as nurturing the existing ones.
Collaborative working with Business/Alliance Partners as well as the Company’s internal operations
Ensure the entire Company’s product and delivery offerings are tailored and presented as business/value solutions
Ensure the Company retains and builds on existing deep client relationships and uses leverage on those relationships (in all regions) to drive revenue
Driving revenue, through cross selling of current customers (in all regions) and origination, to exceed territory sales goals
Maintain and develop the partner strategy (market coverage analysis, partner screening etc)
Conceive and implement growth strategy
Establish partner engagement process, including financial model and contractual engagement
Manage day-to-day management of partner related issues
Monitor revenue performance
Define annual and monthly individual partner targets
Coordinate partner marketing promotions
Perform business and performance reviews
Provide monthly performance reports
Provide annual business plans
Skills & Experience Required
Strong analytical skills and the ability to view a current situation and see future opportunities for improvement
Outstanding track record in opportunity selection, consultative selling, developing and delivering high value solutions
Strong level of inter-personal skills required to advise and negotiate comfortably with senior level contacts.
Proven success in channel development and management
Excellent relationship skills and capability to negotiate at senior level
Outstanding track record in revenue achievements
Entrepreneurial acumen to identify new partner opportunities
Proven competencies in both "farming" current customers and "hunting" new customers
Revenue retention and growth within existing customer base
Experience in selling to or working in IT and Telecom industry is key
High energy and focus with good communication skills
Solution sales expertise
Knowledge of global account coverage models and global sales management best practices
Superior change management, process improvement and implementation skills
Ability to gain consensus but determine when strong management action is required
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of cultural and regional requirements in international markets
Superior follow-up and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven negotiation skills with confidence in presenting, consulting and selling at the C-Level
Ability to build strong and continuous partner relationships (both internal and external)
Strong financial management skills
Experience of working in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Outsourced Services
- Telemarketing/Call Centre environment
- CRM/ECRM
- Market Research and Data collection/sales.
Qualifications
Must live in Europe and be able to handle a highly flexible work schedule and heavy internal travel
Educated, preferably to a degree level in business related field, Internal Business Degree and/or MBA is preferred
Must Speak English and French or German fluently to a business level – Preferable, not essential.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years international experience prospecting and sales within the IT or Telecommunications sector
Minimum of 5 years experience or involvement in sales enablement, direct marketing and CRM
Working knowledge of a sales enablement, sales operations, database marketing, internet, analytics, CRM, marketing strategy and agency services
In depth knowledge of global markets
Demonstrable track record of consistent achievement of quota and team goals
Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and goals
Strong success driven approach to life.
Salary
Basic to £36,000 OTE c£70,000 - £80,000 including Sales Commission & Channel Bonus
Hours
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
