My client is looking for an experienced professional whom has a strong background from within the hospitality or contract catering sector with operational recruitment and management of large volumes of staff ideally within a catering operation.
You will have experience of employee recruitment and training ideally within a hospitality environment along with experience of working to deadlines in a high pressurised environment. You will have great communication skills and ability to work in a team environment, be self-motivated and a strong leader to your teams.
Responsible for recruiting, developing and managing high quality casual managers, chefs and staff, you'll ensure they consistently meet stringent standards. Making sure the training and development available is both relevant and comprehensive, you must also successfully attract, interview and appoint staff, as well as monitor their progress and reliability. In addition, you'll keep casual staffing levels at an optimum level, find new ways to attract people and maintain a database of potential applicants.
With a strong background in large venue catering management, you must hold a relevant hospitality qualification, have a good understanding of employment law and a strong commitment to employee welfare. Able to manage a large number of casual/agency staff, you'll know what it takes to motivate them successfully in an often-pressurised environment. In addition, your understanding of high standards will be coupled with good financial awareness and the ability to take a hands-on approach.
The successful applicant is required to work 40 hours per week on a flexible shift rota basis, according to the demands of the business. Weekends and shift work is necessary due to the demands of the business.
