Urgently require a Groundworks Estimator
My Client are a regional Groundworks contractor whom specialise in the Commercial, Industrial and Education sectors.
They are currently recruiting an Estimator with Groundworks experience to join their Commercial team.
An ideal candidate will have experience in tendering on a various Civil engineering schemes - see below for two project examples and what is involved with the types of work they undertake and will expect you to Tender on.
Project Title: School
Client: Miller Construction.
Programme Duration: 36 weeks.
Value: £2,000,000
Project Details: The project comprised the bulk excavation and site profiling, construction of foundations, ground floor slab drainage and hard landscaping package including the external retaining structures, hard paving, tarmac surfacing, builders work to external services and provision and installation of street and playground equipment.
Project Title: Adoptable Access Roadworks and Enabling Works
Client: Intersrve Project Services.
Programme Duration: 15 weeks.
Value: £1.200.000
Project Details: The project comprised the construction of a new two lane single carriageway road connecting the existing Whiteleigh Primary School east to the B3372 Tamerton Road.
Responsible for the complete Section 278 package. This involved forming a 14m wide cutting, excavation and removal of 30,000m3 of excavated spoil from site including soil nailing and general ground treatment works. The complete construction of a 250m long two way tarmac surfaced carriageway incorporating drainage, street lighting, statutory street signage and inclusion of all temporary traffic management during the construction period.
