Marble Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer for a leading procurement specialist based in Newport.
The Buyer’s role involves being a core member of the team responsible for developing best practice solutions for clients using experience, procurement knowledge, technology and sound commercial judgement. The role focuses on both internal business and supplier facing.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Development, you will develop the category implementing the current strategy and developing it as the category expands and grows.
The role will involve working on multiple accounts for established clients, ensuring a quality service is delivered at all times.
You will:
·Take ultimate accountability for the quality and suitability of solutions across the category
·Be responsible for the delivery of purchasing solutions within client engagements
·Develop excellent and effective relationships with client stakeholders at a day-to-day operational level
·Be seen by the client as an integral part of the delivery team
·Manage the risks appropriately
·Take ultimate accountability for client satisfaction within category
·Manage senior team members to ensure quality and suitability of solutions across clients in category
·Act as a mentor and sounding board to Advisors and other category specialists
·Use senior management to assist and support delivery where appropriate
·Provide drive to project management and identification of problems
·Take project management responsibilities for client and supplier facing work streams
You will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent with strong IT skills, especially within Excel.
You will also be CIPS qualified, or working towards full membership
Most importantly you will have a hard working attitude, the ability to learn quickly and be adaptable to a fast moving office environment along to have a pleasant and professional manner.
