LEGAL CASHIER (P/T or F/T)
CARDIFF
c. £16,000 +
My client is a small niche law firm in Cardiff with a steady stream of referrals and a solid level of work. They are currently looking for an experienced legal cashier to replace the incumbent, who is shortly due for retirement.
All candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the position:
ESSENTIAL
* ILCA- Diploma level qualification or equivalent
* Experience of working within a legal practice
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent IT skills - Experience in using legal accounting software and competence with Microsoft outlook, Word, Excel
* Ability to work within a small team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Knowledge and awareness of legal aid contracting
* Experience of billing for legal aid and private clients and credit management
* Proactive in looking at ways of improving financial processes and systems
* Confident and articulate able to communicate professionally with partners and fee earners on financial matters
* Awareness of data protection and client confidentiality and its place within the finance role.
DESIRABLE
* Experience of preparing financial records and other documents to facilitate preparation of SRA reports and annual business partnership accounts by accountant
* Knowledge and use of Opsis Millennium legal accounting software
