Job Role

This involves a risk assessment made (usually by the Audit Manager / Team Leader) based on risks brought forward from last year, systems work carried out during the year, technical issues and reviewing the final statements etc. Once the risk assessments are done, this then forms the sets of jobs to be done on specific statements or balances

How this is done:

Specific tests are done to gain assurance that specific balances or items of in-year expenditure are fairly stated - these involve analytical review, specific sample testing of the balance / item of account
Must be able to audit financial statements and complex claims for government grants, with only minimal supervision. May be required to review financial system and financial standing of audited bodies. Should also have experience of and ability to review audited bodies` financial statements and associated systems, processes and controls in line with International Standards on Auditing.
Our client is a large Public Sector Body
£21 - £27 per hour

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
