This role is based in Doncaster and is a fixed term contract until October 2011.
Manage the successful delivery of pre or post-miletone project related documentation within scope, cost and time.
Key Results Area
Manage project plans, including provision of documentation to support plans in order to assist in the installation and construction process.
?Manage resource requirements in order to ensure successful delivery of project plans within agreed timescales.
?Liaise with internal and external planning departments to ensure the delivery of performance outputs within specified timescales.
?Manage the development and production of pre and post planning in conjunction with internal and external customers.
?Utilise knowledge of the business units to generate reports for the SYDR Construction Manager and other members of the SYDR team. Gather and analyse data in order to formulate recommendations relating to planning, construction and installation issues for SYDR in order to aid successful delivery of the project within agreed timescales.
?Manage and co-ordinate internal and external virtual team members to successfully deliver project requirements.
?Visit customer sites on an ad-hoc basis and attend Project Meetings, as required, in order to identify and manage project requirements, utilising influencing skills to ensure RFS dates are met.
?Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the status of projects as required in order to progress the project through to completion within agreed timescales.
?Provide and control all project documentation, resource and systems and act as a primary reference point for tracking and audit purposes.
?Manage and control all risks relating to the timely completion of projects in order to minimise impact on project deliverables.
?Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure timely acceptance of product documentation and provide an interface with suppliers.
?Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in conjunction with relevant departments and accreditation bodies.
?Management of the pressure network in order to avoid major disruption to the KC network and impact on revenue.
?Ensure fiscal approval process has been followed prior to the issue of job packages, checking value of work against sign-off chain and holding back non-approved work until approved, to ensure expenditure is monitored.

?Comprehensive Understanding of: -
Structure of KC
External telecoms engineering principles and practices
KC Networks & Equipment
KC Engineering specifications, processes and procedures.
OFCOM regs
?Detailed knowledge of: -
New Roads & Street Works Act 1991
?Experience of managing and co-ordinating a virtual team
?Thorough understanding of full engineering end to end processes
?NRSWA Supervisor Certificate
?Safety Passport
?Numeracy & Analytical skills
?Field experience as Jointing Technician or similar
?Good organisational and prioritisation skills
?Good communication skills, written and oral at all levels.
?Knowledge of KC security of information procedures.
Good knowledge & experience of:
?Microsoft Office skills and PC
In depth knowledge & experience of:
?GIS, FIS, Customer care, APS, SXSM, Co-ordinater, FMS.
Specialist knowledge of:
?MS Project, MS Access, Discern and Japs
