FMCG Sales Executive - Food Sector

18-24k Base, 30-35k OTE + Car + Benefits
For many years, our client has been at the forefront of the catering sector. As a family run business they have carved a solid reputation specialising in desserts, frozen products, seafood, pasta and much more. Due to continued growth within their sector they now have an exciting opening for a field based Sales Executive to cover a large Central London territory.
Covering a large territory this field based Sales Executive role will involve around 50% existing account management with the remainder of your time spent seeking out new sales opportunities. Accounts will be developed through a mix of product development and ongoing account management. New revenue streams will require you to identify, qualify, quote and close additional business sales opportunities. This is a consultative role that does not require a hard closer.
The ideal candidate will have previous sales experience from within the FMCG or food based sector. Although experience is advantageous, applications are also invited from chefs who are maybe looking at moving into a sales role. You will however have first class communication and presentation skills along with the ability to form lasting relationships at all levels within both small operations and the large national chains. This role will require you to work in a diligent and autonomous manner.
The successful candidate can expect a base salary in the region of 18-24k with an uncapped bonus scheme that will initially take earnings to the 30-35k level. Additionally there is a company car and a further benefits package.
