One of our most prestigious clients are looking for a senior internal sales professional who has the ability to develop sales leads and new business alongside completing tenders and rate negotiations.
Responsible for developing profitable relationships with new and existing clients by promoting Import & Export services and responding to tenders, proposals and requests from clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* To respond to tenders, RFQ' requests from overseas offices and directly from clients within laid down timeframes.
* Qualifying and responding to sales leads.
* To maintain good ongoing relations with existing and new clients.
* Telesales to both new and existing clients to generate additional business.
* Preparation and follow-up of quotations.
* Supporting internal and external sales personnel.
* To assist in updating systems, filing and administration.
* To assist in E-Marketing and sales campaigns.
* To adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management.
* Other administrative duties.
Person Specification
* A good standard of numeracy is essential to ensure accuracy of quotations.
* Some freight forwarding experience is desirable.
* Previous experience/exposure on tenders/bids is required.
* Ability to use PC applications i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
* Reliable.
* Polite and persuasive telephone manner.
* Able to meet deadlines.
* Well organised and able to prioritise.
* Able to work with others in a small team and willing to contribute.
