World renowned FM service Provider require a GM for a Iconic Development currently under construction in Abu Dhabi.

Our Client require Candidates with 15 years plus experience in negotiating terms and conditions of contracts for consultancy and contracting organisations.

This position will demand high standards of performance and a skill for adding value, must have contributed to significant new frameworks and delivery methodologies in Master Community Services relative to large communities.

Must hold strategic influence and lead an integral management team, will be responsible for the management of all commercial and business functions including: commercial policy & procedures, procurement, risk management, governance, insurance, IT and in the resolution of any contractual issues.

The ultimate objective of the appointment is to safeguard and further enhance the overall commercial performance of the project. Must be able to demonstrate a sound commercial pedigree in a contracting environment and ideally:

Experieince in both pre and post contract commercial management, leading highly demanding and regulated frameworks within either the utilities or related infrastructure sectors

Strong analytical, interpersonal and management skills. Capable to work across disciplines, winning respect from peers and ensuring a high degree of transparancy, upon which to make accurate assessments and champion change where required.

An appreciation of wider business drivers, possibly achieved through a broader role in a smaller company

Key Skills:

Excellent contract negotiation skills

Very effective knowledge of MENA contract law

Evaluating commercial/technical/financial risk in Middle East markets

Excellent interpersonal / communications skills

Experience:

Reviewing and Negotiating proposals and contracts with customers and suppliers based in the local government and private sector Managed Services market. 
 
Introducing and promoting contract/commercial principles in a ‘new’ environment, to ultimately secure buy-in and cooperation from Sales and Product specialist. 
 
Performing commercial review on all proposals for Managed Services, Training and Consultancy. 
 
Setting up a risk register to identify commercial risk in business proposals and proposing actions to mitigate risk. 
 
Drafting standard company terms and conditions for managed services contracts and supply and installation. 
 
Drafting and negotiating pre–contractual agreements such as Confidentiality Agreements, MOU’s, and Collaboration agreements.

Advising Project management and senior management on contractual risk in projects (e.g. Impact on costs and programme). 
 
Managing contract variations and contractual claims resulting from post contract events.

Reviewing and negotiating Purchase Orders/ contract review and handover.

Bachelor Degree and MBA
