The role – Site Facilities Manager – Senior Site Management opportunities don't come much bigger. Running the facilities team at a Welcome Break site is like overseeing a small village, from Food Service to Forecourts and Retail to Hotels.
“Keep it compliant, keep it safe” The role of the Facilities Manager is one of the most important on our sites. You will be responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core businesses of our organisation. The Facilities Manager ensures that we have and maintain a suitable working environment for our colleagues, and a safe and pleasant environment for our customers to visit.
Reporting to the Site Director, you will take responsibility for: Internal and external site services, cleanliness and Hygiene; Structure and Equipment Standards; Implementation, Monitoring and Management of Health & Safety Policy; Management of Site Risk Assessments; Guidance and Support regarding all Health & Safety Issues; Advise on updates to legal requirements, approved codes of practice and best practice standards; Liaise with local authorities and contractors, including responsibility for accident,/incident/RIDDOR reporting; Contribute to the efficient use of energy/utilities.
If you have experience in facilities management, can communicate and influence at all levels, and have a track record of developing and motivating at team, we would like to hear from you.
The company – Welcome Break - Each site is a combination of individual business units offering food service, retail, fuel and at Gordano a hotel as well. What is not often realised is that we run these units ourselves. Each of these business units will have huge annual turnover (in their own right!!) and are managed by their own dedicated management team.
