My client is offering a fantastic opportunity on a permanent basis for a facilities and health and safety supervisor. This outstanding opportunity offers job stability, excellent benefits package and a central location
The job role consists of:
Working closely with the operations director
Respond to and action all firm facilities requests.
Ensure that all equipment and facilities operate effectively. Also responsible for any day to day maintenance requests
Establish ongoing maintenance contracts to meet the health and safety and fire safety obligations
Carrying out all employee's risk assessments
Manage health and safety issues for the firm, review existing policies and procedures and update and create new ones where appropriate
To review the use of contractors, suppliers, managing agents, fire protection services, goverment bodies as well as employees at all levels
Record portable appliance test results
Monitor number of first aiders to ensure adequate coverage
Experience
A solid background in Health and Safety in the workplace
A relevant qualfication in Health and Safety - such as IOSH, NEBOSH or other Health and Safety qualification
Able to prioritise effectively, to meet deadlines
Excellent Communication skills
Highly organised, logical and have a practical approach
Flexible attitude to working hours
