Job Title: Factory Manager
Location: East Midlands
Salary and Benefits: Circa £50k - £60k + Car, Bonus, Pension, Health

THE COMPANY:
. My client, a major force in the UK food industry prides itself upon producing the finest quality fresh protein based products available in the market. Operating from various sites around the UK this blue chip company supplies into all of the major multiples with a range of both branded and own label products.
. Following an internal restructure this flag ship site requires a new Factory Manager with the experience and the tenacity to drive the business forward.
. The company is well known for its career opportunities and rewarding the endeavours of its staff at all levels, the successful candidate can expect to progress quickly both on the site and within the group.

ESSENTIAL:
. The role requires at least 3 years Factory/Operations Manager experience in a food manufacturing environment.
. An in depth knowledge of the processes and procedures involved in the production of meat or chilled food products.
. Experience of leading all site functions
. Excellent Leadership and Motivation Skills
. Degree educated
. Track record of driving CI and Lean implementation
. Experience of budget adherence
. The successful applicant can commute to the site and the surrounding area.

DESIRABLE:
. Food production/Manufacturing degree

THE ROLE:
. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for the leadership, motivation and development of your direct reports to ensure business profitability.
. The key remit is the management of the manufacturing process to ensure that all output complies with customer/brand specification, food hygiene regulations and GMP
. You will play a pivotal role in developing and driving the business, with particular emphasis upon continuous improvement projects, maintaining and improving production capacity inline with predefined KPIs.
. Responsible for delivering and managing a profit and capital plan in order to meet the budgetary requirements of the manufacturing operation whilst always proactively looking to identify potential cost savings to the plan.
. Managing for succession you will develop and mentor your direct reports to achieve personal and operational excellence.
