Our Client based in the Workington area are currently seeking Children and Family Support Workers to work on contract for a 3 - 6 monthly period. Working with Young people and Families, suitable candidates for this role will be Qualified Nursery Nurses or People with experience of working with young people within Residential or Community based roles.
Duties of the role are as shown:
To provide contact, information, advice and support to service users and other external agencies as directed by the Team Manager.
To give direct service and assistance to service users and also provide complementary assistance to the work carried out by social workers.
To develop constructive relationships with service users, offering support and observing situations. Arranging and reviewing services as required.
To undertake tasks under the direction of the Team Manager in order to develop and maintain contact with service users.
To provide written reports and attend case conferences and related meetings as required.
To work as a member of the team and to share with other members relevant information about service users and the general running of the service.
To work alongside social workers in their work with service users as required.
To support new staff members during and after induction process.
To undertake basic/initial assessment (except in child protection cases) and be responsible for keeping cases under review.
