Field Gas Engineer - Commercial or Domestic ACS
Central London
£30,000+ Plus Callout Rota Payments, Company Vehicle, Mobile Phone, PDA, Uniform, 25 Days' Holiday, Accident/Sickness Insurance
Our client is a well established and rapidly growing organisation, dedicated to service and maintenance of domestic and commercial heating/gas appliances. They have a prestigious variety of contracts covering London and the Home Counties. An opportunity has now arisen for a Field Gas Engineer to join the team.
Joining an established team, in this role you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on commercial heating, gas and oil appliances. For the right person, the company offers ample scope for long term career progression.
Working with a diverse range of prestigious clients, your role will involve travelling to client sites predominantly throughout Central London (80% of your time) and within the M25 (20%).
As a Field Gas Engineer your duties will include:
- Working as part of an emergency response team on a 24 hour rota basis
- Maintaining set standards in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation
- Ensuring all on-site quality assurance procedures are adhered to
- Helping out other trades (where required)
- Providing accurate reporting information for further repairs or installation
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Proven experience in a similar gas engineering role
- A commercial ACS qualification and/or a domestic ACS qualification
As the Field Gas Engineer you should also be an excellent communicator with the ability to fault find and diagnose on commercial gas and oil appliances. A great work ethic, the ability to work in a team, and a willingness to take on additional responsibility will also be required.
An OFTEC qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would any multi-skilled experience/knowledge of building services.
