Field Service Engineer - Mechanical/Electrical
Home Based (Loughborough and surrounding areas)
c£21,000 plus Bonus Scheme, Company Vehicle and Mobile Phone
Our client provides a wide range of solutions for all of their customers' waste management and recycling needs. They now seek to recruit a Field Service Engineer to be home based in Loughborough or the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical and mechanical engineering professional to join an established, successful company. For the right candidate, there is potential to progress into a management position.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of recycling and waste handling machinery on a nationwide basis.
Furthermore, the Field Service Engineer will:
- Attend breakdowns and callouts
- Install new and refurbished equipment on customer sites
- Carry out modifications and refurbishments both on and off site
- Manage their personal van stocks of spares parts and consumables
To be considered for this position, the candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in an electrical and mechanical engineering role.
The Field Service Engineer will also require basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic circuits, the ability to safely use welding and oxy-gas equipment, and a good customer-facing skillset.
In addition, any qualification related to engineering or electrical would be beneficial to your application, as would prior experience in the recycling and waste industry.
