The Company:
In the packaging industry our client has forged an enviable reputation based on their build quality, design, innovation, and above all reliability of their product range. Continuous improvements have seen over 250 machines and 500 tooling sets installed over the last ten years alone. Their equipment has the flexibility and capacity to work at up to 200 units per minute. In these competitive times future success is going to be based on the quality and reliability of the service contracts supporting the UK manufacturers. To date our clients reputation has been exemplary in this aspect and they now require an additional engineer to further their growth.
The Role of a Field Service Engineer:
The Field Engineer will service a thriving customer base, providing a fast response time and complete technical support. You will provide a full turnkey solution – installing, commissioning and servicing (both planned and breakdown) on the full range of company equipment. The ability to train customers and educate them on the products capabilities is a key aspect of this role.
Key Skills:
This is complex high speed packaging equipment, primarily found in the food industry it incorporates electrical, electronic and mechanical work. The role has an electrical bias and ideally you would be qualified to 16th or 17th edition level or an equivalent qualification.The work also involves PLC work where you will be conducting laptop diagnostics. As already stated good people skills are essential to the success of the engineer in this role.
Benefits:
£28,000 - £30,000 basic + overtime + travel time paid door to door taking earnings to £55,000 + fully expensed company car + pension + extensive benefits package
